Privacy notice

padelgrid lets organisers run padel tournaments without an account. This notice explains what is stored, who can see it and how long it is kept.

Who runs padelgrid

padelgrid is a personal, non-commercial project run by its operator.

For privacy questions and requests, write to privacy@padelgrid.eu

What is stored

  • The tournament's name and settings (format, courts, points per match).
  • The names or nicknames the organiser enters for players. Names are optional; a blank name shows as "Player" and a number.
  • Rounds, scores, rests and corrections, so standings can be calculated and checked.
  • For security: a scrambled (hashed) form of the private link and of the organiser's session, and, to limit abuse, a keyed hash of the connection address with a request counter. The address itself is not stored.
  • If the organiser enters an email address, it is used only to send them the tournament's links and is deleted with the tournament.

Who can see it

  • Once a tournament has started, anyone with its public link can see its name, players, rounds and results. Before the start, the public page shows only the name and format.
  • Tournament pages ask search engines not to list them, but that is not access control: share the public link only with people who should see it.
  • The private link lets whoever holds it run the tournament. Organisers can replace it at any time, which stops the old link working.

How long it is kept

  • Finished or cancelled tournaments are deleted automatically 30 days after they end.
  • Tournaments without any change for 7 days (drafts never started, or events left running) are deleted automatically.
  • The organiser can delete a tournament at any time from its management page.
  • Deleted data can remain in the database's backups for up to 7 more days; if a backup is ever restored, deleted tournaments are deleted again.
  • Abuse-protection counters are deleted after 24 hours.

Cookies

  • One strictly necessary cookie (pg_manage) keeps the organiser signed in to one tournament's management page for up to 7 days. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

Service providers

  • The application runs on Vercel; the database is hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt (EU).

Correcting or removing names

  • Players can ask the organiser to correct or remove their name; the organiser can do this at any time while the tournament is running or finished.
  • If you cannot reach the organiser, contact the operator at the address above with the tournament's public link, and the data will be corrected or deleted.
